The judicial purchase of a property usually marks the beginning of a new phase for the acquired area. In Cambuí, however, the situation involving the industrial complex acquired by the Shih Family still remains without a practical resolution. Even after the purchase completed in September 2024 and the favorable court decisions already recognized by the judiciary, the property remains occupied.
While the case continues to move forward with notifications, inspections, and new legal steps related to possession of the area, the Shih Family still cannot make use of the industrial complex acquired through the judicial auction. As a result, the projects planned for the site remain stalled.
Why does the situation continue to generate losses?
Over the past few months, the occupants of the property have received several communications related to the legal proceedings, including notices, court orders, and inspections accompanied by a court officer. Even so, the industrial complex remains occupied despite the expiration of the deadline previously granted for voluntary vacancy.

In practice, this means that the Shih Family continues to be prevented from accessing and using the area legally acquired through the judicial process. The case has also drawn attention due to the amount of time required for the buyer to effectively take possession and use the property, even after favorable decisions regarding the acquisition of the area.
What is planned for the area?
Documents submitted in the case mention the Shih Family’s interest in developing a healthcare-related project within the industrial complex. According to information presented in the court records, the proposal has the potential to attract investment, strengthen economic activity, and expand opportunities for Cambuí.
With the property still occupied, the Shih Family remains unable to move forward with the projects planned for the site, a situation that continues to delay the intended development of the industrial complex.
